This film is aimed to praise the bravery of the female soldiers from the Russian Female Battalion formed in Saint-Petersburg in 1917 following an order from the Provisional Government. Such battalions served two main goals: raise morale in the army and chastise the male soldiers, who were reluctant to fight in the war.
